The pair is the punchline

Pair your coin with a stock or a coin. Hold it, get paid in that pair.

Every trade pays a small fee. pump.fun pays it to the holders, in the pair you picked.

Name a coin. We find the pair that makes the joke.

    03How it works

Three steps. Your wallet pays the launch.

You sign one free message, then the launch itself (about 0.0074 SOL, shown before you sign). pump.fun pays the holders; how often and to whom is pump.fun's choice.

    1. 1

      Name a coin

Type a name. The picker finds three pairs that make the joke.

    2. 2

      Pick its pair

A stock, a coin, or a pump.fun coin. It launches on pump.fun paired with it.

    3. 3

Hold it, get paid in the pair

Every trade pays a small fee. pump.fun pays it to the holders, in the pair.

Example: $CATCHIP is paired with a chip-maker stock token. Hold $CATCHIP and pump.fun pays you in that stock token, from the fees of every trade. (A made-up coin, to show how it works.)

Why PAIRS: pump.fun itself pays the holders, in the pair. No one at PAIRS holds the money.

      05Questions

      Questions

Plain answers. More detail in How we count and on the receipts page.

What do I get for holding a PAIRS coin?

A share of the small fee every trade of the coin pays, sent to you in the coin's pair (for example in a stock token), not in SOL. How much depends on how much the coin is traded and on pump.fun's choice of who is paid.

Who pays me, and how often?

pump.fun does, not PAIRS. pump.fun's own key sends the payouts and decides when and how much each holder gets. PAIRS never holds the money. Every payout we have read is on the receipts page.

      What can go wrong?

The coin's price can fall, to zero. A stock token's issuer can freeze or pause it, or move it out of any account; then payouts in it stop. pump.fun can change its rules for all coins, and payouts are its choice. Nothing here is advice.

What does it cost to launch?

Your own wallet pays the launch: about 0.0074 SOL for the rent of the new coin's accounts and the network fee, simulated and shown before you sign. Nothing goes to PAIRS. You also need to hold some $PAIRS to launch; the amount is shown by the launch button.

      Do I sign a transaction?

Yes, one: the launch itself, which creates your coin on pump.fun and is paid by your wallet. This page checks it before your wallet opens (only the create, paid by you, paired with what you picked, holder rewards on) and your wallet shows it too. Before it you sign one free text message, which is not a transaction.

      What is $PAIRS for?

Holding $PAIRS is what lets you launch a coin on PAIRS.

      Why pump.fun?

pump.fun can pay a coin's holders in its pair by itself, so no one at PAIRS has to hold or send the money. Its traders and tools already know pump.fun coins.
